ADD coaching is a hands-on approach that involves an ongoing relationship between a coach and client that is very goal-driven, structured, and focused on helping the client understand how ADD impacts behavior, rallies the client's motivation and active involvement in making changes, setting priorities, defining goals. The coaching partnership is highly individualized, focused on the specific needs of the client, and might encompass many areas of the client's life: work, exercise, nutrition, stress management, social and recreational needs, time-management, organizational skills, and so on. The ADD coach offers techniques to help the client become an active participant in their own education and success. A coaching relationship is safe, respectful, and supportive.
